Well, I've had the system since about 2008 (was bought it as a present) but very rarely used it until recently as I had little use for it, so I didn't think to sort it out.

However, it has always had a strange thing about it - if I press the 'EQ' button on the remote then the screen shows 'Bass 0'. Presumably this is the screen you have to navigate to to change the bass. But I just can't make that number change. It won't go up or down, no matter what I press.

Does anyone have any ideas? Am I just being stupid?

thanks and best regards

Iain

Hi Iain,

After pressing the 'EQ' button on the remote, as you say 'Bass' comes up on the display (if you press 'EQ' again it moves on to 'Treble' and so on changing between bass and treble adjustment).  You should then be able to change the bass/treble setting with the + and - folder buttons (just above the play button on the remote). There are also similar buttons on the front of the hi-fi itself.  If this doesn't work, then it's possible something is wrong.

Hope this helps.
