Hello,
I have purchased RX100M3 camera recently and I am struggling with wireless transfer set-up. I have installed Imaging Edge app for Mac (10.15.4 Catalina), connected camera to WiFi and that was the end of the road. I have read countless of guides how to connect camera via PlayMemories (now deprecated) or use Edit/Remote/Viewer, but I can only connect these apps via USB cable. Even then Remote prompt says camera is not connected. What is the recommended set-up then? I have purchased this camera specifically because of the wireless RAW/ARW picture transfer feature, so that I can review pictures in real time on the Mac.
PS: I was able to send pictures from cam to smartphone via Imaging Edge mobile app, but that works only for JPG files.
Hi sead182,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi sead182,
What happens when you use the Send to Computer option?

Hi Win_88,
thanks for your reply. When both cam and computer are on the same WLAN, I try Send to Computer and I get this prompt:
Information of the computer where the data is to be saved is not set to the device. Connect the computer to the device with an USB cable and set it.
Even if I connect camera to the computer via USB and confirm OK on the camera, nothing happens. Mass Storage pops up in the Finder, but that's about it.
Hi again
Have you tried going to Imaging Edge settings while the camera is connected via USB and then go the transfer tab to configure the save location?
Win_88
Hi Win_88,
when the camera is connected via USB, I start Imaging Edge Desktop and go to Settings. This is what I see:
Not much to do on this page of the Imaging Edge.
No ideas? Perhaps Imaging Edge Desktop app update on the way?
It is indeed. It says today is the day. However, when I downloaded the update it has the same version number as it had before V 1.0.02.03270. Can someone else check what version number is on their computer currently, then download the update and tell me whether it's now different.
(Sorry - don;t know whether the update will solve the problem - I have the same as you - but it says it fixes bugs with Catalina.)
Mike
I agree with Mike, the update was just released yesterday, and here's the most important part of the update notes: Added support for macOS 10.15. I'd recommend trying the update and then checking the save location mentioned earlier by Win_88.
Got the app update, but cannot locate the Transfer tab in any of the three sub-apps (Viewer, Remote, Edit). Am I missing something? I don't have Transfer & Tagging add-on as it is only for mobile and FTP users, which is not my use case anyway.
