I have just purchased an adaptor for the Cybershot DSC-W35.
Unfortunately all photos in the advertisements for the adaptor for this model, show the thread for securing the optional lenses recessed inside the mount.
However, the adaptor that I received has the thread mount protuding outside of the adaptor. As a consequence, the teleconversion lens - VCL-DH2630 - cannot be attached to the adaptor, as both adaptor and lens threads are flush with each other.
The notation on the box for the adaptor indicates that it is for the DSC-W70, W50, W40 and W30 . Was an adaptor specific to the Cybershot DSC-W35 produced? If not, is it possible to purchase an adaptor ring i.e. male to female, that could solve the problem? What size would it need to be?
