Dust in sensor of HX20V please help!

Hi everyone,

I am new to the Sony forum. Just wondering if anyone could give me a labelled diagram of the inside of an HX20V, because I am going to attempt to remove some annoying dust spots on the sensor and I need to know what to do after I have opened it up with a screwdriver.

I know this is a risky process but all the alternatives cost a huge amount of money, more than a new HX20V in most cases.

Here is a photo I took with the annoying spots showing:

So if anyone can give me a labelled diagram of the inside of a HX20V so I can try and clean the sensor I would appreciate this very much.

Cheers guys,

Fred

Here's a (Spanish) video of an HX20V in "the operating room".

Maybe is useful...

Personally I would not recommend doing this task yourself as you could end up doing more damage, tasks like cleaning the the lens, censors etc are best left to a specialist.

You could contact Sony to do the repair or if you have a specialist in your area.
