CX-240 Break in audio during long recording

When I use the CX-240 for continuous recordings of over (approx) ten-minutes, there's a short but annoying audio drop-out at the end of each file. I shoot at 50fps and the drop-out is 25fps, so half a second, which can usually be patched over in the edit but not if it's a speech or presentation. Interestingly (and thanks goodness!) there's no glitching of the video. Does anyone know if this can be overcome (I'm guessing, not) short of making a separate sound recording? Thanks!

Hello @CX240-USER,

import the videos from your camera/memory card via PlayMemories home.

It will merge the files without any interruption.

Also use a SDXC card instead of a SDHC card, as these can be formatted in exFAT which allows singular files bigger than 4GB (as it is the case/limitation with FAT32).

Thanks (again) for this, Nic. I'll try both your suggestions and report back.

Usually, I prefer the files as separate entities but I'll try the PlayMemories next time I get challenged by this.

As for reformatting the cards: I like this even more! At the moment, file-size seems to be limited to just over 2GB (2,075,904MB), so nowhere near the 4GB FAT32 limit, so perhaps it's a 'camera' thing? Interesting!
