Not able to update or download apps from play store

Hi, if i.try to download it is showing as download pending.  But not downloading.  Pls help

Are you on data or wifi?

How much free internal storage do you have?

How about 

settings > apps & notifications > see all apps > play store > storage > clear data > restart the phone > check again
