Tv won't stay connected to wifi keeps connecting and disconnecting.

Hi guys, Every day through out the evening whilst watching TV, It keeps saying TV is not connected to the internet then a couple of minutes later it reconnects. I have checked and it is connected to my network, Also i have reduced my router to 2.4G for the wifi signal. Also the router is about a foot from the Tv.

Thanks Lee.

This is an old issue that was fixed in one of the recent updates. Make sure your TV is updated and let us know if you still have the same issue.

Did the update and still loses connection.

Sony has failed. Have a few Rokus and Vizio smart TV both have no problem with connections. I’m ready to take it back

Sadly if you have this problem there appears to be no fix just a workaround. As far as I can determine it mostly happens when also using Sky broadband/SkyQ.

I now connect my AF9 TV to my network via a cable using the TV's physical network port. This does ensure I don't get any Wifi messages about network disconnects every ~30 mins.

Something I have identified is when I stream from a Qnap NAS using a VLC Player app on the TV that if I use the SMB connection to the NAS I get the ~30 mins disconnects if I use the UPnP connection to the NAS I don't get any disconnects. The Sony Video app has no connection options so always gets the ~30 mins disconnects. Thankfully none of my other services are affected.

I’m on Talk Talk and it happens constantly, so from all of these comments it must be the Television.
Won’t ever buy another Sony.

Which model do you have? I'm certain it was resolved by an update, make sure your TV is up to date from the help menu, also check the support page, many models got a new update today.

It was agreeing to the last update that started this off in the first place. I’m wary of updating again!

Hi,
so glad I found this forum! I am having the same issues!

my model is the Sony Bravia kd43x8305C

My TV has got all the latest updates still an issue-

I have looked into disabling the IPv6 but it seems to already be disabled along with the IPv4.

Should  I keep the IPv6 disabled but turn on the IPv4? Sorry not good at this sort of stuff-

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I have the latest updates and the issue persists- do you have any other advise?

I had a look at the IPv6 some people were talking about  and it is already disabled along with the IPv4 should I turn on the IPv4 and leave the IPv6 off?

Appreciate the help!
