So another day, another BBC trial, are we missing out again?

Has anyone else watch Dynasties on iplayer last night?  I watched right after the broadcast finished, and while it looked great in 4K, it was not flagged as HDR on my 49XE8077.  I switched over to the BBC FA Cup test stream and that worked fine, as it has been all week, along with the Planet Earth II clip that was previously available.  Is the stream not working or the TV that is at fault?

I have KD49XE9005- same for me. UHD stream picture was very good but not flagging HDR.

I also have a Roku Streaming stick + plugged into HDMI2( advanced setting) and the picture is very good and it flags HDR on Dynasties and on the UHD test loop.( UHD HLG Blue Planet 2) - fantastic picture

Also Noted that BBC iplayer app on KD49XE9005  does flag HDR on the west Brom UHD loop but not on Dynasties.

So maybe Sony need to apply a little tweak in order to  flag HDR on BBC Iplayer.

The Roku Stick version of Iplayer flags HDR on all test loops and Dynasties.

Same here my 55XE9305 does not display as HDR on iplayer but does on the Roku stick, the picture is far superior on the streaming stick via HDMI than the iPlayer. Either the Beeb or Sony need to sort this out, it's almost a year now since the Blue Planet II and the summers World Cup fiasco.

Same here, although I own a slightly older model (49xd83). Dynasties is available in UHD without HDR (the HDR and the color space switches are unavailable in the picture settings) , while the other test loops flagged as HDR.  The difference between them is quite obvious.

It's just a shame, that nobody can sort this ito finally. They've been testing it for more than a year...

The iPlayer app is being treated as Digital TV rather than an app hence not being able to change the HDR modes, which is crap.  HDR mode switch  is available on YouTube so I'm wondering if it's to do with Youview and live TV rewind on the BBC.

Mine too doesn't flag on my XE9005 but I could switch to HLG by selecting HDMI source before selecting home and iPlayer. Odd the test videos flag but Dynasties not. There is a url for feedback bbc.in/uhd

Select any HDMI port then launch native BBC iPlayer and HDR options will appear in the picture settings.

OK..so I have found that if you go to the picture settings, select video settings and manually select HLG then HDR is invoked. It would appear that Auto does not pick up the HLG data on the Dynasties UHD stream. Picture looks absolutely brilliant. Incidentally Dolby Vision is automatically picked up on Netflix stream.
