Focus failing 200-600G traced to Electronic Noise
Bought the 200-600G on Friday, original problem:
- AF works sometimes but when it doesn't cant see anything in focus with 1/2000 ISO 100-6400 wide open
- Have been using the Sony 135 f1.8 without issue
- Looked at the sky and could see some electronic noise swirling round, not always there
- Tried changing various settings, Airplane mode, display mode then found Picture Profile 9 makes the noise really stand out when the lens cap is on
- Then found that in PP9 it shows this even with no lens on the body!
- Still takes tac sharp photos with the 135 f1.8 with full AF
- Don't see the noise in the photos from the 200-600 but they are mushy
All recently bought equipment - what's the best way to proceed with this?
(Note taking this photo with my Pixel 6 Pro makes it look much more vivid than it is in real life as it does a "night mode" enhancement! On PP10 it's hardly visible but the Pixel 6 Pro photo PP10 looks almost as bad as this one)
- Thanks,
- Chris

If you tested the lens with other bodies and it's the same, I think it's time to give Sony a call buddy.
