tv keeps going into standby

I have replaced the lamp in a projection tv.When i turn it back on it goes into standby.

Please help,as i have a 2year old driving me batty-as we have no tv!!!!!!!

Is there a possiblitity that is was not more than just a lamp needing replacement that was causing a problem initially..

Perhaps it may be worth contacting an authorised repairer for advice..:smileyconfused:
