Pairing STR DN1080 with Bose wireless headphones

I am having trouble pairing my new Bose wireless headphones to my amplifier, STR DN1080. I can pair it with my iPad and iPhone with no trouble, but it doesn’t find my headphones in the device list. The manual says to change from Receiver to Transmitter, but when I go to that option, it’s greyed out so I can’t do it.

Please help! I’m exasperated!
