Sony STR-DN1080 Banana Plug Connector

Hi everyone

Does anyone know how I can attach these banana plugs to my STR-DN1080 AV Receiver? They won't fit in and If push too much it will definitly cause damage!

I watch a few Youtube videos and I undrestand in some AV Receivers the red/black plastics can be removed but it I'm not sure if this is the case with my AV Receiver!

Hello @sepehrbeckham,

you should be able to unscrew the red/black "fasteners" completely if I am not mistaken or you can unscrew them so far until you can fit the banana plug beneath it.

Why do you want to use the plugs anyways - simply cut them off and use the cable directly.

I had exactly the same problem with these exact same plugs - that why I'm here. I put a tiny bit of soap on the tip and they did go in - very tight. Hope this helps.
