SVR HDT500 Keeps Freezing in Guide

Ive been struggling to get my Recorder working properly. Its fine for a couple of weeks. Records programmes etc and then for whatever reason it starts to freeze

I turn it on. Go to the programme guide, and it just switches itself off, re boots and then goes to a random channel.

Ive checked the software and its the latest version

Ive factory reset so many times Ive lost count

If I leave it switched off for a few days and then go back to it it starts working again. Sometimes I get a few days sometimes just a few hours before it freezes again

Anyone got any ideas, as It would be a shame to have to replace it

Hi there

As you have done a factory reset, I would also recommend you using the "Repair Disk" function.

From the main menu, goto Others > Disk > Repair Disk and follow onscreen instructions.

However, if you are still having problems after that, you may need to get an authorised Sony Repair Centre to look at it. See link : HERE
