Why does my BDP-S370 displays 'Wait' for a long time ?

My new ( 1 month old) BDP-S370 displays a blinking 'Wait' for a long time - about 60 to 120 seconds before displaying 'Video'.

I can't do any thing till the display changes to 'Video'. I can't open the disk try to put in my DVD or Blu ray disk. Its quite annoying. I never had this problem or seen it on any other DVD players I had or seen before.

What is the resaon for this? What do I have to do to correct this?

Bit of a thread revival, but my unit does the same sometimes, very intermittent though. Usually happens when you want to get on and watch something.

Have noticed that while it is "stuck" doing whatever that it displays a purple screen on the TV.

tengo un bue-ray sony BDP-S370 lo prendo e inmediatamente sale la palabra WAIT y no me deja hacer ninguna funcion por favor enviarme la respuesta de que devo hacer para desbloquearlo gracias

Hi there

As this is an english forum, please type in english or use another sony forum for your country. Unfortunately if your bluray player only displays 'wait', it will need to be fixed by an authorised Sony Repair center.
