KD-55X9005B How can I add new Apps, in particular the Discovery Plus App?

Hi,

I have just purchased this KD-55X9005B Sony TV, which is great but a flaw appears to be that its not an Android OS unlike my other Sony TVs! So I am at a loss as to how can I install new apps, and in particular the Discovery Plus app.

Thanks in advance for any tips on how to achieve this.

Hi @Andy-G

I’m afraid you cannot add native Apps to your 2014 TV. You can only do that on Sony Android and Google TVs. However there is a work-a-round by adding a streaming stick, satellite box etc. to an HDMI input.
