Screen Issues KDL-40HX723

Hi All

I have had the TV for nearly 4 years now and over the last year when turning on have a blast screen and after a couple of minutes this creeps up revealing the normal picture. A couple of days ago this happened as per usual but then the whole screen was covered in vertical lines, you can just make them out but when a text box or writing on the screen the lines go from this all the way down or up. On the sky menu page it is terrible. Hope the pic attaches. Any help would be great thanks.

Does this only happen when using Sky or on all devices etc? If its all devices, I would suggest that this is a hardware failure and would need to be repaired by an authorised Sony repair centre (assuming its economically viable to do so), see : http://services.sony.co.uk/support/en/repair/asc

Thanks, its all devices so i think it may be a good time to move up to the 55 inch now
