Hi, how can a copy recorded programmes from my Sony SVR HDT1000 hdd recorder onto USB memory stick? I keep getting an error message asking to format the disk. HDD has been formatted and the USB is FAT32...Thanks Kelly

Hi there, before we tackle the issue of the USB drive error. What is it that you want to achieve by copying recorded programs to a USB drive?

Because, If you are copying the files to another Sony HDD recorder, it wont work. If you wish to play it on your PC, it wont work. If you want to do anything other than watch the recorded program on your PVR, it wont work. This is due to the files being encrypted and only playable on your particular PVR only.

Hallo,

I have a home-made video of our children from 1991. I connected my old VCR-player to my Sony HDD recorder, so I was able to play it on TV.

Now, my children would like tot have each a copy of that video.

I there a possibility to copy this video from my Sony HDD to my computer or to a USB-stick ?
