KDL40W605B - MediaPlayer plays video with wrong Aspect Ratio

Hello All,

Recently I found that internal video player can't read Aspect Ratio (AR) tag from file container but only from video steam.

For example most of my files have the following AR tags.

Width                                    : 720 pixels
Height                                   : 480 pixels
Display aspect ratio                     : 1.85:1
Original display aspect ratio            : 3:2

It's MediaInfo output. In this program "Original display aspect ration' stays for AR tag from video stream and "Display aspect ratio" for AR tag from file container. In my case it's a MKV.

Sure It can be easy fixed by changing "Screen" mode to "Wide". But it needs to be done every time I want to play a file. And it works only for Widescreen (16:9) video. I don't see any way to fix files with standart TV (4:3) aspect ratio.

Is there any way to force MediaPlayer to read AR tag from file container? Like it can be done in most PC media players (e.g. Media Player Classic Home Cinema).

If there is no way to fix this bug at the moment is there any plans to fix it in a future?

Sure I use the latest firmware.
