      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;When ever i connect to a network resource i type in my network user name ands password but there is no tick box for me to save the password.  Anyone got any ideas why this is?  Is it just Vaio related? Open Regedit and navigate to:&lt;BR /&gt;[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]&lt;BR /&gt;"disabledomaincreds"=dword – the Data value should be set to (0)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If that value is already (0) or changing to (0) has no effect then:&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;2. Control Panel &amp;gt; Administrative Tools &amp;gt; Local Security Policy &amp;gt; Local Policies &amp;gt; Security Options &amp;gt; “Do not allow storage of credentials or .NET Passports for network authentication” - Set this option to "Disable"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You will probably have to restart your comuter for these changes to take effect.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

A friend has a Vaio with XP Home on and he has the same problem.  Mine has XP Media centre.
