VAIO VGN-317S DVD Player Issue

Hello

Just wondering if ayone else is having this issue. Recently My DVD player DW95A when playing DVD's it plays the trailers and title once onto the main film the player spins down then it has to spin up again. This happens a couple of times. It then eventually freezes. and you have to take the disc out. I have cleaned the disk and laser. It reads Data CD's fine its just some DVD's.

I have also redone the Firmware its on PSF3 I think is the right code.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it reads data fine, but behaves in weird ways with Video-DVDs make sure it is not the disc. Try serveral discs and be paranoid about region code, dust, scratches and copy protection. Only factory made discs should be used for testing.

If the problem occurs with half a dozen discs which are all factory made, in good condition and not 'infected' with a copy protection, I would suggest you contact Vaio-Link and arrange service.
