Hi

I;'ve got a K315S which sadly is now outside the warranty period. It has been getting progressively hotter over the 18 months I have owned it for, and now it gets so hot it is unusable as a 'laptop' computer, because it's so bloody hot!

It gets very slow and unresponsive while its hot and am having to select the 'degrade' option for the CPU speed in the vaio power management for when its plugged in, just to keep it cooler. It never had a decent battery life, I get around 20 mins on a full charge, but this too is dwindeling.

Both internal fans are working correctly, I have had a sony specialist in Manchester UK to look at it. Speedfan reads the CPU temparature as 77c and the hard drive as 55c.

Is anyone else experiencing such excessive temparatures with theirs, what can be done?

THanks
