Connecting K215B to Television

Hi, I hope somebody can help.

i want to connect my Sony K215B to my television so that I can play games/watch DVDs on my TV through my laptop. The tv out socket on the laptop seems to be a 3.5mm headphone jack style socket and the TV has a normal scart socket.

Does anybody know what cable I need to do this and what I need to do in Windows?

Hi Jordan,

You need a 3.5mm jackplug (3 contacts) to 3 Phono plugs cable. The official Sony product is VMC-20FR at £13.99 but you should be able to buy a cheaper alternative. I've just noticed the link does not go direct to the product at Sony Style - you will have to type VMC-20FR into the Search box (top right).

To connect to a TV by Scart, you will need a SCART ADAPTER as well.

If you have difficulty getting the Sony lead, I think you should be able to buy it as a 'Camcorder to TV A/V lead' from several manufacturers.
