My VGN-FE21B has started to develop display problems.

The screen will flicker slightly, then appear washed out. Many areas of the screen appear grainy.

I've tried adjusting the colour properties, and while this helps make the screen a little more readable, it's still not perfect.

Occasionaly, it will revert back to normal.

It doesn't seem to be a lose connection as the laptop hasn't moved from my desktop, and heat doesn't seem to be a factor as it has been like it after booting up after several hours switched off.

I've tried using an external monitor and this appears perfectly.

Is this a known issue?
