Hi to everybody,

I missing VRU.exe file, cant start VAIO Recovery utility, where could I download it, or instal from?

Hi Khyrbu and welcome to Club VAIO.

Did you make a set of Recovery Discs when you first got your VAIO?

You don't say what model you have but you may be able to run a recovery from your hard disc. Try tapping F10 when you see the VAIO screen on startup - this should start the Recovery.

I there..

I have the same problem (missing vru.exe)..

I dont have any recovery CD's and F10 does not work..

Can someone help me ??

Welcome to Club Vaio,

If F10 does not start the Recovery process then your hidden HDD partition may be deleted or corrupt..:smileysad:

You can purchase a set of Recovery discs via Vaio-Link....

Hi & Thank to everybody, my recovery partition is OK, has recovered all data manualy, via partition managers, still can't find vru.exe ...
I have drivers & utitlites folders, did install all from there, but there are no recovery utility INSTALL there, the other preinstalled soft is packed in a SONY's own format .... so the problem of finding VRU.exe remein
... hey ho ... will continue researching

Hi Khyrbu,

If you press F10 and recover your C drive to the original factory settings, this will probably install the recovery VRU.exe files...:smileyconfused:
