      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;right herss the whole story,,, not so long ago my computer got infected y this trojan which infected my firstreboot.exe i quarantined the file then delted it &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now i just deleted the whole partition and installed windows xp pro and when i went to install my sound card my norton alerted me and said that it found a virus c:\windows\ system 32\firsaa43.rra trojan horse !!!!!!!!!!!!! and the sound card set up alerted me and said that it couldnt find firstsystem reboot.exe so it was unable to install &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;why didnt the deletion of the partition (there was only 1) kill the virus or trojan also why didnt it reinstall the firstreboot.exe &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please someone help as i havent experienced a extreme error such as this before &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards ben&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;i thought it might be the disk hat cam with the sound card as well so i scanned that an found nothing when i scan my pc now i find nothing &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when i retry and install the drivers yet again it finds this virus and says it is in the same place access denied ect &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the drivers of the sound card says my computer is missing the firstreboot.exe &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and i did delete that file after it had be quarantined !!!!!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but installing a new os should have sorted that shouldnt it ?????&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

It's a bit technical to explain and not really worth it, but there is an outside chance that a bit of code in the file is triggering Norton, and if you update the virus definitions that would explain why the detection changes. Why there would be no mention of it on google is a mystery though.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Email Hercules and see if they will email you the file, if not try filesharing programs, edonkey has a fairly wide file range.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The only explanation I can possibly think of is that there is an entirely different virus somewhere on your hard drive that's messing up Nortons detection, although that seems quite unlikely.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try Trend Micros site, they do a free online virus scan which is good, see if it picks anything up.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Frankly I'm equally stumped.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;tyger the file firstreboot.exe is a hercules file and when i try the installation &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you know when it installs and stats the fle it is installing above the loading bar &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it says firstreboot.exe at the same time ????????&lt;BR /&gt;the pages that kee-lo found on the web stated that the file was a hercules file and was used at system start up &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i have no other anti virus installed on my pc i have done the online norton and found nothing ???????&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the have done a clean deletion of partition reformated and installed my os so i have hardly any programmes on my pc &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;norton internet security 2004&lt;BR /&gt;java&lt;BR /&gt;azureus&lt;BR /&gt;and my adsl modem &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and that is it&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;my windows updates are fully up to date &lt;BR /&gt;my anti virus is fully up to date &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i think i am just going to leave it to the fortissimo peeps as it seems to be a problem with the card if you ask me as i cant find the files that are sposed to be infected via a virus scanner or manually &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the card installs a little funny compered to other cards &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when i installed it last time the book insructed me to installed the card &lt;BR /&gt;windows will install the standard drivers for the fortissimo 3 &lt;BR /&gt;then run the fortissimo disk install the drivers provided windows will then start the found new hardware wizard &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then press the let windows instll reccomended &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now that is a little strange if you ask me but it did work.....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
