I have an M1 and when im playing music, the sound will pop. its not the speakers, because i have used the internal speakers and external 1s with the same problem. it seems the only time it pops is when the hard drive is loading or busy - when the orange light flashes on the side. Why is this? Can i fix it or am i going to have to send it back? does anyone have the same problem?

Please help, thanks in advance

Andrew

I would say send it back to Sony. This should NOT happen on any VAIO...

Ring them first, the number is @ VAIO-Link, tell them the problem (get your Serial Number from Start > All Programs > Sony Notebook Setup > Sony Notebook Setup first as they will need it to verify your details) and they will give you instructions on how to repair it yourself (software based) or instructions on how to send it to them for repair.

If you have not long ago bought the M1 computer (less than 14 days) from a computer store then many retailers will return the computer for you using a standard Return-To-Vendor (RTV). programme.

The main problem here is that the hard disk must be too close to the soundcard, and as it's more than one person who has posted this complaint, I feel it's a design flaw of some sort.

Maybe Sony will issue an update.
