rs 604 disc partitios

hi all,
i have vaio RS604.disc is partitioned 40gb and 160gb.
i save most of my photos video and other work on D disc.C disc is showing only 50% free.(14.1gb free).
does programmes use all that space?.the only reason i am asking this because i wanted to try windows Vista but it says there isn't enough space on Cdisc.
is there anyway i can free up this space.

sorry i am not an expert,can any one advice.

Probably the easiest way is to put a second hard disc in. There are some pretty amazing prices on large HDD's.

I am still waiting for my Vista disc, but from memory the Vista advisor specified some stupid amount of disc space for installation. Neither my C or D on my RZ desktop had any chance, but for that I have a 250Gb "E" drive.

One word of advice - If you install a second HDD do not use one of the memory card letters, use a vacant one as messing about with the existing used drive letters messes up your icons for the memory card and stick readers.

Takes a lot of messing in the registry to put right.
