Hello,

I have the same problem on my SVS1512Z9EB. The Intel Processor Identification Utility states that my CPU (i7-3632QM) supports Intel VT-x with Extended Page Table and I enabled Intel VT in the bios.

When I run systeminfo in the comand prompt Windows 8 tells me that Virtalization is not activated in the firmware.

Does anybody get Hyper V running? Is this a general Sony problem?

Update: Reinstalled the hyper v feature in windows. For me it is now working.

Nachricht geändert durch timoski

Hi all,

I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8. I came to install Hyper V on it and all worked as expected. When it came to run a virtual machine I noticed I was getting errors. I went into the (very lacking) BIOS and looked for virtualization options of which I only found 1. I enabled Hardware virtualization but I'm still getting errors when it tries to run them. I ran Coreinfo -v with the hardware virtualization enabled and this reported that both VMX and EPT are not available on the processor despite the fact that Intel list my processor (i5-2450M) as having these features.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
