    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi alderdavidoff,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If your machine has an Assist button then press this when fully shut down - this will launch the Vaio Recovery utility - follow the on screen instructions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Otherwise press and hold F10 at boot which should also launch the recovery utility.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Be aware that this procedure will wipe all personal data and third party software.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Both of the above assume that the recovery partition is still present and working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rich&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Have you created recovery disks? If so you can use these to return your machine to factory defaults.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rich&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
