Trackpad useless after sony vaio update

Hi,

just ran VAIO UPDATE then downloaded and
installed some updated for my 2012 Vaio Z with Windows 8. After the installation
of trackpad drivers it got kinda lame. Have to swipe my fingers over it four
times to get the pointer from one end of the screen to the other, and the
"shortcut" and "multi-gesture" swipes that worked before is
now gone. Cant scroll down in IE or Word or anywhere with two fingers, same
thing goes for the Win 8 "start screen". Can’t swipe the edges of the
trackpad to get the win 8 “sidebar” thingy up either, or to switch
between "metro" apps, as I could before the update. Help anyone?

I think I would try reinstalling the Pointing Device Driver 16.2.16.3 from the Windows 8 downloads for your model here: -

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/SVS1511C5E/updates

Worth a try to check if an update has uninstalled or corrupted the driver.
