"Advanced" button for battery life care does nothing, what to do?

Hi,

On my Sony VIAO (model: VPCEB3C5E (French version)) with Win 7 Pro, when I click the Advanced button in front of of "Activer la fonction d'entretion de la batterie" (Enable battery care/maintenance function or something like that), nothing happens at all. There is no error message no window showing, nothing.

I do that from an admin account, a checked the windows event viewer, there is no message either there.

What should I do?

Hi arasse,

Try reinstalling the following utilities in order.

Setting Utility Series.

Sony Shared Library.

Vaio Event Service.

Vaio Control Center.

thanks for the answer, but I could not apply it, several of the tools are just not listed at all in the French version

I forced the installation of various Win7 updates and now it works, but I just don't know why
