Hi

When I insert a blank/empty bluray disc, the bluray drive says there are no discs inserted. The same thing happens when I insert an empty DVD disc. This happens when I try to make a recovery CD from Vaio Care, but without inserting an empty CD before I am asked to do so in the creating recovery CD prosess..

However, if I cancel the recovery CD prosess, then open Windows explorer, it reads the BD very well. I then go back to Vaio Care and then create a recovery BD, Now it works fine.

Could this be a Windows 8 problem? Or is it hardware problem?

- David

Message was edited by: dabernt46
