topic Vaio Duo 13 3G Modem Problem Windows 10 in PCs & Accessories

I have been having a problem with the built is 3G modem in my Vaio Duo 13 since I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Everything worked fine before the upgrade.
If I boot up my Duo 13 with the sim installed I get a code 10 error on the modem driver and the cellular modem won't work.
If I boot it up with the sim removed the drivers start up without a problem. The cellular modem option appears under networking. If I then insert the sim it recognises it fine and the cellular modem works.
Under Windows 8.1 I could leave the sim inserted all the time without issue. Now that I have moved to Windows 10 I would prefer not to keep removing and re-inserting the sim every time I switch on.
Any suggestions?
