topic SVL2412M1EB will not boot, Windows 10 in PCs & Accessories

I purchased this all-in-one PC a few years ago, from new, with Windows 8 pre-installed. When it was released, I upgraded to Windows 10 without any issues.

Then, last week, I found myself stuck in a boot-loop where Windows would not start. I keep getting a blue screen with a message saying something alone the lines of - windows could not start and needs to restart. It mentioned two errors, NTFS File System and FAT, and suggested searching online. it would simply keep rebooting constantly.

I have been unable to get anywhere with advanced startup options (reached through pressing the Vaio assist button), no matter what I try.

I have even tried various commands such as chkdsk without success.

What can I do?

I don't mind replacing the HDD if necessary but my concern is that, although I have a recovery partition, it relates to Windows 8 and not Windows 10 (unless by some miracle the recovery partition was modified when I upgraded).
