    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The listmodem app reports the modem is not XP compatible, in which case Connexant say refer to Sony.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sony provide an XP driver, but it crashes out the whole PC.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm away from home right now, but I'll post the details of the error at the weekend.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Modem Drivers for XPPro</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have just done a fresh install of XPPro on my FX105K, downloaded all  the XP drivers from Vaio Link, and everything OK...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...EXCEPT&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The modem. I had a lot of trouble till I found the Vaio Link drivers. But even after installing those, I get an error that causes the laptop to shut down. They only occur when I dial up to the internet&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's the Connexant Soft56 modem, and I've tried drivers from Connexant too (they just don't install).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyone any ideas??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi there,&lt;BR /&gt;have you checked if the modem is supported by Windows XP?&lt;BR /&gt;Conexant has a driver assistance that you can run in order to find out if that particular modem is supported, or not.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.conexant.com/support/md_driverassistance.html" target="_blank"&gt;Conexant driver assistance&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Let me know if it is supported, then I can check some more.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Goo dluck!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;OK, details of the error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Shortly after the modem connects to the Internet and IE opens up, there is a message from NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM: c:\windows\system32\lsass.exe has terminated unexpectedly with status code 1073741819. The system will shut down in 60 seconds.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Once it reboots you get an error with LSASHELL (Export Version)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Another reboot and it is ok&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BUT:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I networked it to another PC and connected to the internet through that. Windows Update had a new version of the driver, and once I installed it, the problem went away.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for your help tho.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;P&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
