Please LOOK... desperatly needed part.

Hi people,

please help if you can... i need a replacement for the following part. it is the connector cable from the memorystick port to the mainboard underneath the panel between keyboard and screen on the GRT7xx, GRT8xx, GRT9xx notebooks.

if anybody has an idea of how and were... please let me know.

As silly as it sounds, have you tried Sony Support??Also, if it is something which is common in electronics (as it may or may not be), you could try Maplins or RS Components.

SONY doesn't sell spare parts... and this type of cable connector is only sold or made for maschine vendors(so I've been told).... it is not a standard electronic part... HELP

You can buy spare parts from an american site (www.sonyspareparts.com), but obviously they sell for US models. The part you require may be a generic part used across a number of models.

Otherwise, there are plenty of laptop repairers in the UK, or you can e-mail sony support from Vaio-link.
