The same thing happened to my Toshiba Tecra when I bumped it off the end of the bed and it tumbled to the floor crashing with a sound simular to a shopping cart walloping a wall. Sorry matey. &lt;BR /&gt;Try the following however:   Grab a copy of Windows XP if you can find it (I don't think the Vaio recovery will work but try it) and put it in the F drive cd reader. You should get at least the c: prompt. after the c prompt type    scandisk all. &lt;BR /&gt;if it still finds no physical disks try     fdisk all &lt;BR /&gt;if that doesn't work well it needs to be replaced or reconnected properly.
