PROBLEM with my DVD Drive

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-A317M and I Have a Problem with the DVD Drive, especialy with a play of a DVD Movie.

Every DVD Player shows me the same, the Drive can read the DVD and play the sound and I see the movie, but its make hacking, the DVD Movie plays a little bit slower and the sound hack in every DVD Player.

And now I don`t know! Is that a Hardware or Software Problem?

Hallo,

Are you running the DVD application when on mains (AC power) or on battery?

It could be happens as Kee-lo said, but I guess it's a software part.

Re-install the DVD player software at first and try again. Make sure as well as you have installed all necessary updates and upgrades from www.vaio-link.com

I re installed the completily Windows XP Home System and all the applications. Now the DVD works. Now I know its a software problem in Windows XP. And to kee-lo.......if I work at home I don't use the Battery, thats couldn't be the problem, but good to know! Thanks
