A7RIIIA, Sony 100-400mm GM and 1,4 Sony t.con issues

Hi, owning an A7RIIIA, Sony100-400mm GM and a 1,4 teleconverter, I'm having some issues when putting the converter and the lens on the A7RIII. After I disconnect the converter and put the 100-400 directly on my A7RIII, it keeps giving the F8 apperture (the apperture it holds with the converter inbetween) all the way, instead of switching back to 4,5-5,6. A7RIIIA ver. 1,00; 100-400 GM ver. 0,2. Thanks for help!
