Any have any suggestions to connect the cam to a new Mac?

Used to use a PC without issue but not used for a while and PC has gone and new Mac just won't see the cam when plugged into USB.

This camera doesn't support new Macs, it also doesn't officially support Windows 10, 8.1 or 8. But you've got the best chance with Windows and PlayMemories Home.

Check page 38 of the Manual.
