FDR AX33 keeps turning off

I have turned off the Power Save function...but my camera keeps turning off when I am shooting. I am teaching art classes and they can last 1-2 hours. The camera is connected to the mains power but every 30 mins or so it clicks off and on. This give me a black blank frame to edit out. This is doable but if I want to use the audio that is problematic.
is there any way to stop this? The camera is only a few months old, works fine apart from this. It does not seem to over heat. What is the problem. I'd be grateful for some help with this. Thanks.

Have you tried turning it Off and removing the battery pack for a couple of minutes to depower? If yes, maybe try initializing it to factory settings if it's already up to date (v1.10).
