Only if the PC has an HDMI input and the software for shooting or streaming does it detect the device connected to it.

My pc has an HDMI input. However it doesn't recognize the camcorder. How can

An HDMI Input, sorry, are you sure?

The Software is the same that you will go to use, like Skype...

Hello @arikw1,

to use your camcorder like a webcam, you need to get a so called "HDMI Capture Card", a device with a HDMI Input and a USB-plug.

I personally use the ELGATO Camlink (4K) which works perfectly with all the cameras I have (Sony FDR X1000, Sony FDR X3000, Sony FDR AX100, Sony FDR AX700, Sony RX0m2).
