topic A7R4 and 70-200 F4 G Lens in Alpha & NEX interchangeable lens cameras

I am the happy owner of a new A7R4 and have the 70-200 F4 G lens on order.

I see that the lens has a tripod mount attached and expect to use that way when actually shooting. However I do a lot of landscape/wildlife photography and often hike some way to get to places. In the past with lighter lenses I sometimes use a Peak Design Capture clip on my backpack to attach the camera.

Any thoughts on carrying an A7R4 with 70-200 lens attached with the camera attached to the Capture clip and not the lens. It would be in a downward configuration ie with the lens hanging vertically under the downward facing body.

I do also have the 200-600 G lens and there is no question about how that should be carried.

The alternative is to hang the lens from the clip but that may end up with my face getting hit by the lens or the camera body at every step!

Failing that I may just resort to a belt hung solution.

Thanks
