FX3 Camera quirks!

Hi, I got the FX3. A few quirks, maybe someone else has solved them?

I have an a7S III too, and it's nice to make them align in controls as much as possible.

1) Swapping Menu and Mode button?

2) Permanently get the Tv control on the back dial?

3) What's with the click on the shutter button?! Picks up on the audio if using to start rec.

4) The diameter on the Mic holder is very big. How do you guys attach say a Sennheiser 416. Need some rubber padding or something I guess?

Hi,

I found how to set a custom button here. I also found how to change the functions on the dial button here; however, not sure how you would want to control it with the dial.

I think its normal to start recording while using the half click in the rec. option, as the shutter button is only to start and stop.

For the mic, I'd say you can use a third party adaptor; however, it is not fully recommended.

When it comes to the over sized mic holder I recommend using rubber O-rings or cut your own spacer from a heater hose. Both alternatives comes in all different sizes. If you’re looking for a simple solution there’s always gaffe tape or rubber bands.
