HDR AS30V stops recording video but continues recording sound

I've had the HDR AS30V for some time and use it when on motorcycle tours either fitted to helmet or on bike mount.

After a certain time (appears to be 20-30 mins) the video freezes then goes blank but the audio continues to record.

I use the RMLVR1 WiFi remote control strapped to my wrist to control stop/start recording but tried not using this but had same problem.

Any ideas ?

does the camera become hot to touch, when you record a video for some time?

No, maybe just warm when it'sin the waterproof case.

I use the camera either attached to my motorbike screen or HD Velcro to the crash helmet.

Now done a factory reset and reformat of card and will test again in the near future.
