If I remember correctly of the tone arm hung on a line with a small weight.

I have now bought HP-511 A for a tenner but it does not have the line or weight can I get a spare

or is there a D I Y fix. Any help would be appreciated

Hi mrlost, I couldn't find any model that matches this: HP-511. Are you sure it's the right one?

Firstly thats a fantastic price!

As this system was released around 1971 I'm not sure Sony would have any spare parts for it.

I have found a counter weight with the wire and the tone arm here if that's what you're looking for.
