topic Sony SRS Speakers in Hi-fi Systems

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect an Older SRS-XB40 with a newer SRS-XB33. I have tried most ways but unable to pair them up. Seems a bit of a rip off when they says they can connect to any SRS-XB model
