Stand by light flashing red

Hi,

Hoping someone can shed light on this.

My daughter went to switch on her Sony Home Audio System MHC - V77DW and it won’t turn on. The stand by light just keeps flashing red and goes off.

Any ideas?? Thanks

The maximum she can do is try a power cycle (unplug from the mains for a few minutes then plug back in again).

If the issue remains, I'd recommend contacting her nearest service center: https://locator.sony/en_GB/servicecenters

Thank you. We did try this and it did turn back on however the volume wouldn't work.

So I did it again and the volume came on!

No idea what that was all about but thank you for the advice.
