Sony SRS-XB2 Bluetooth speaker

Hi, I have a SRS-XB2 Extra Bass bluetooth speaker, purchased Nov 2017. The red charge light keeps flashing but the speaker will not charge. Have tried whilst it's on, off and have re-set - any ideas?
