topic WH1000-XM3 volume issues over bluetooth in Portable Audio

Hi,

I have some XM3s and love them; however there's a weird issue I can't track down. I have a Macbook Pro (15-inch 2017 running High Sierra) and when playing music over bluetooth, I often find the volume is significantly quieter then it should be.

If I pause the music by doubletapping the right ear, I hear the volume correct itself for an instant just before the pause kicks in. Unpausing then continues playing at the right volume. The same issue exists when playing music connected to my iPhone 7 as well.

Has anybody else experienced this? Obviously the quick fix is not too onerous, but it'd be good to understand why this is happening.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

Have you tried adjusting the volume from the app?

Best wishes,

Hiya Sean,

Thanks for your reply. I can adjust the volume from the app when it's
connected to my iPhone but that doesn't solve my problem here. The
workaround of simply pausing and replaying by tapping on the right ear
phone is easier then opening up a separate app. Also it doesn't solve my
issue when connecting via the MacBook.

Cheers,

Alastair
